Series: AniMAL Habitat
Habitat; a-
/haebItaet/
Specific type of environment witch is ideal for the existence and growth of certain plants and animals.
Most plants and animals species are adapted to survive in specific habitats and cannot live in other types of habitats. Except in zoos where they live in artificially constructed landscapes. Hidden doors in walls, humid cages, and condensed windows give a mysterious impression.
Illusionistic natural habitats, idealized and simplified to meet the demands and experiences of visitors, rather than the animals caged inside. Painted canvases, stuffed butterflies, a plastic cactus, impressive fake rocks, ... A piece of wild recreated nature as a backdrop.
A habitat as a scenery.
